HDPE Plastic Packers
Packer bottles, also known as pill packers, vitamin bottles and prescription bottles, are commonly used in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries for pill and capsule packaging. Packers feature a round body and have a wide mouth opening that allows for easy filling and dispensing. Made of HDPE, these bottles are used extensively for pills, capsules, supplements, powders, and other health-related products.
Key benefits:
- Made of rigid and tough HDPE plastic
- Wide mouth and flat base for easy filling and dispensing
- High shatter resistance level
- Flat base is stable for filling
- Straight walls ideal for easy labeling
Available in a variety of neck sizes. The first number refers to the diameter (in mm), and the second refers to the closure depth, style and thread. Pair with a variety of closures including Applicator Caps (71810-71811) and Screw On Caps (71824).
High density polyethylene (HDPE) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures, heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application. Distortion occurs between 220° to 250° F.
Packer bottles are also available in Glass (72014) and PET (72218). See our HDPE or PET Guide to help decide which is right for your packaging needs.
