Compounded topical wound treatments are an ideal way to make your pharmacy the Go-To pharmacy above all others. Open wounds are difficult to treat because of the sensitivity of the wound. When left improperly treated, wounds can lead to much more serious infections that become even more difficult to cure.
Lavare is a Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) based occlusive, formulated to provide a moist environment on the wound site, ideal for optimal healing. The wound care base is an adherent, water-washable base which allows for easy cleaning and debridement. It contains an organic extract with anti-inflammatory and healing properties called Meadowsweet Extract.
Lavare can be combined with several hydrophilic or lipophilic active ingredients to treat many different types of wound conditions, whether there is odor and/or pain to the wound site. The white, non-flowable gel can be used not only for wounds, but also for ulcers, burns, cuts, abrasions and some dermatological applications.
