Base of the Month: LipoBase Regular & Heavy

LipoBase Regular and Heavy are transdermal liposomal bases with excellent cosmetic elegance. Not only are they pleasant on the skin, they offer great skin penetration with moisturizing capabilities.  Both bases are formulated to incorporate lipophilic and hydrophilic actives and penetrate deeper and faster than HRT bases.

LipoBase Regular handles lower API loads, approximately 10%, and maintains a thinner consistency, ideal for cosmetic preparations.  The base feels smooth to the skin with its light beige, light cream texture. LipoBase Regular is commonly selected for HRT and Veterinary applications as well as Dermatology.

The thicker, white, LipoBase Heavy continues the ideals with intent to contain higher API loads, up to 20%. The added emollients provide superior hydration for dry and dehydrated skin. The Heavy base works well with chemical peels and pigmentation treatments. LipoBase Heavy is frequently used in Dermatology, Pain Management, Immunotherapy and Sports Medicine applications.
